Annual concert, sale raises funds for cancer research

The 3rd Annual Tree of Hope fundraiser took place at the Beaverbrook Kin Centre on Monday, Sept. 1.

The afternoon included a concert by local entertainers, a bake sale, a barbecue, and draws for assorted prizes.

The annual event, in conjunction with the Tree of Hope Campaign, raises money for cancer research. The funds stay in New Brunswick to assist the development of the Dr. Leon Richard Oncology Centre and its research programs, and also go to support cancer patients in the province.
