Damage leaves bad taste

My wife and I have been here for almost two years now, and we are certainly getting used to the pleasant attitude of most Miramichiers that we come in contact with. I would however like to quickly mention the ones that are just a little different from that. I would particularly like to thank the person who hit my car in the mall parking lot. I would like to thank them for doing as much damage as they did ($1300.00) and for the way they handled the problem.

The idea that you hit another car and do the kind of damage they did to a fender makes me think they had to know they hit my car. Of course the proper thing to have done would be to leave a note, or a phone number so we could at least talk about it. Unfortunately this type of Miramichier feels that it is better to leave the scene and do absolutely nothing, but leave you stuck with the bill and the problems.

I find this approach so distasteful I can hardly stand it. They are happy to have gotten away with the accident and to not accept any responsibility for the actions they took. The only good news on the horizon is that they have to have had some damage themselves. I know that Miramichiers like this are in the minority, but it certainly doesn't help the city to have these individuals running around. Too bad, it is a wonderful place to live, and a great place to retire. Hope the rest of you all have a wonderful and happy day.
