Goldie wants to be part of your family

Hi! My name is Goldie! I am a beautiful female golden retriever who is approximately one year old. I was recently brought in to the shelter by a man who found me in the Millerton area. He searched for my owners but with no luck and he could not keep me himself. When I was surrendered I had an eye infection in both my eyes which will eventually clear up with the medication the vet prescribed me. Sadly, it appears that no one has been looking or trying to find me, which means I am now available for adoption and I would like to go to a good home.

Goldie is a beautiful golden retriever with a sweet disposition, who just wants to find a new family soon.

I am a very friendly dog who has a sweet and loving temperament that makes it easy for people to fall for me. I am very energetic because of my breed and I would like my new family to be very active and exercise me daily. Golden retrievers are known as family dogs, meaning we are great with children, eager to please and basically we love everyone. I am a special girl who will not be at the shelter for long, so please do not hesitate to come meet me. Before I go, let me ask you this do you think your family is missing something and do you think the answer could be me?

For more information about adopting, please call the SPCA at 622-0645 or come visit the shelter, located in the Chatham Industrial Park on 128 Dan Cripps St. The shelter is open from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Tuesday to Sunday. The shelter is closed on Mondays.
